As founding principal and CEO of Lehmann Homes, Denise Lehmann strongly believes in responsible building, and is pioneering the boutique green building scene in the Philadelphia area since 2002.
Her progressive approach to building is supported by many years of experience in the development community. As an approved Energy star builder, Denise has developed, designed and built several luxury townhome developments in Philadelphia that have received Energy Star Ratings. She has raised the bar with her most recent sustainable project, Sheldon Crossing, which has been recognized by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) through earning a Platinum LEED certification.
Denise’s green enthusiasm surpasses the characteristics of “eco-friendly,” and is more appropriately labeled eco-passionate, as her homes exceed green standards and set a precedent in the building community. In addition to her extensive skill set, she specializes in seamlessly integrating luxury with sustainability, ensuring that the house operates as a fully integrated system without losing sight of the luxurious aspects that homeowner’s desire. Through extensive space planning, interior design, her impeccable attention to detail and creative ability to incorporate old with new, Denise is able to build homes and create spaces that provide a warmth and sense of style that is unparalleled.

Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, as her premier green development, Sheldon Crossing, has earned her the highest level of LEED certification, the Platinum level, and has been a featured topic at the International Builder’s Show as a model for Next Generation Home Building, was Philadelphia’s Green Design Home in 2010, and a featured topic in many magazines, newspapers and TV news programs.
Denise is deeply passionate about setting the standard of boutique green building everywhere. This passion is rooted in sincere concern for the health of our society and environment. With the creation of Sheldon Crossing she has been educating the public one by one as well as holding small forums for trade professionals to learn more about genuine green building practices. In an effort to continue to stay ahead of the curve and maintain a true understanding of green innovation, Denise surrounds herself with and consults with environmental, innovation and structural specialists on an ongoing basis. She is a professional member of the USGBC, DVGBC, NAHB, and several other environmental, building and design associations.
